A simple wood framed rectangular warehouse was renovated into a residence. A large covered porch was added to provide architectural character and extend the perceived interior spaces. The great room opens onto the porch with a series of French doors. The bedrooms open directly onto the great room through a small transition vestibule, maximizing space. The bathrooms, kitchen, mechanical, and laundry were located to minimize existing slab demolition required to install plumbing.
