The site for this three unit, multifamily project presented a unique and difficult design constraint. The steep site was an engineering challenge, resulting in tall retaining walls. The narrow site challenged the floor plan and pushed the building massing vertically. The massing was resolved in a unique stepping façade, broken up with gables, decks, and chimneys to give the building its visually interesting “European Mountain Village” aesthetic. Great importance was placed on each unit’s views, ranging from the Ski Area base and mountain to the Flattops.
